CARDOSO Filho, Joaquim Lúcio. Curvelo, Minas Gerais 13.8.1913 — Rio de Janeiro 22.9.1968. Brazilian Author. Born in a prominent, but impoverished family, educated in Belo Horizonte. Moved to Rio de Janeiro and worked in an insurance company, then as free author. Wrote novels and poetry, his main works appearing in the 1930s and 1940s.
