BROOKS, Sarah Wells. 18?? — 19??. U.S.Early Female Student. Studied from 1892 at Harvard Annex for women (soon Radcliffe College). Learned Sanskrit under Lanman and assisted H. C. Warren, but mainly concentrated on zoology and landscaping. Later on, she lived many years in her own farm in Concord MA, but did not succeed and died in poverty Most probably she is Sarah Wells Brooks (1870 — 1941), the daughter of Josiah Mason Brooks (1841–1899) and Mary Blanchard Wells (1841–1917) of findagrave.com. She was buried in Cambridge, MA.
