WHITLEY, Edward Hamilton. Mussoorie, India 1866? — Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire 16.3.1945, when 79. Rev. British Missionary in India. Son of Rev —> Jabez Cornelius Wh., educated in England. Active at least until 1902 in Ranchi, altogether 42 years in India. Archdeacon of Chota Nagpur, Bihar and Orissa (1931). Returned from India, he was some years Rector of the Northamptonshire parish of Deene, finally retired because of his failing health and eyesight.
