In 1901-06 private tutor in Cambridge, 1907-16 Lecturer in History at Wren’s. War service on code department. In 1919-26 Professor of History and Economics at Queen’s College, London. From 1924-39 University Lecturer in Indian History at Cambridge. In WW II as Censor in West Indies.
