GODDEN, Gertrude Mary. Surbiton, Surrey 17.7.1867 — Burgess Hill, Sussex 15.2.1947. British Anthropological Writer. Daughter of William and Mary Godden. Roman Catholic. Unmarried. She was an armchair anthropologist who never visited India. A book on Nagas and other North-East Indian peoples remained as manuscript.
