CLARK, Mary Mead (née Mary Jane Mead). Amenia, NY 1832 — 1924. U.S. Missionary in India. Daughter of John King Mead (1799–1873) and Jane Amanda Sutherland (1807–1885). Married 1858 the missionary —> Edward Winter Clark (1830–1913), participated then in his work in Nagaland. Their only daughter died young. They retired in 1907 and returned to the U.S.A.
