SCALIGERO, Massimo (nom-de-plume of Antonio Massimo Sgabelloni). Veroli, Lazio 17.9.1906 — Rome 26.1.1980. Italian Esoterist (Follower of Evola) and Steinerian Anthroposophist, also an Antisemitist. Lost early his mother and was raised by his uncle, journalist Pietro Scabelloni. Pupil of Evola when 20, soon also of Steiner. From 1932 worked as journalist in Rome, no scholar.

Publications: As a friend of Tucci he was the editor of the E & W in 1950-78 and wrote some articles and numerous (often rather uninformative) reviews in it, e.g. “Sketch of a psychology founded on Yoga”, E & W 6, 1955-56, 342-348; also a number of books (30), but not really relevant here.
