ALSTON, Anthony J. 1919 — 2004. British (?) Indologist specialized in Advaita Vedānta. Pupil of Hari Prasad Sastri (d. 1956). Ph.D. 1964 under T. R. V. Murti on Post-Śaṁkara Advaita Vedānta, Banaras Hindu University. Later living in London.
