RICHTER, Oswald

RICHTER, Paul Oswald. Schneeburg, Sachsen 5.9.1873 — 1907. German Student of Indo-Iranian. Ph.D. 1897 Leipzig (under Brugmann). From 1898 Ethnographic Assistant at Dresden Museum, from 1904 worked in Museum für Völkerkunde in Berlin. Met his early end handling too casually a poisoned Indonesian arrow.

Publications: Diss. Die unechten Nominalkomposita des Altindischen und Altiranischen.  62 p. Strassburg 1897, also in IF 9, 1898, 1-62.

– “Der plural von gAw. mazdāh ahura-”, KZ 36, 1900, 584-589.

– A couple of articles on South-East Asia and one on Greek.
