HOOPER, John Stirling Morley. Stirling, Scotland 12.4.1882 — 1974. Rev. British Wesleyan Missionary in India. Son of John Henry H. Studies at Oxford (Corpus Christi College, B.A. & M.A.). Came to India in 1905 and worked as missionary priest in Madras. From 1930 Headmaster of Wesley Higher Secondary School in Madras. From 1941 the first General Secretary of the Bible Society of India. Hon. D.D. 1957 Serampore College.
