GARRICK, Henry Baily Wade

GARRICK, Henry Baily Wade. 18?? — 1???. British Archaeologist and Literate in India. Attended South Kensington School of Art. Assistant of Cunningham in the A.S.I. from 1880 (successor of Beglar). According to the review of his 1889 poem (IA 18, 1889, 288) this work showed him to be as poor as a philologist as a poet. Perhaps the reference to the not too good luck Cunningham was having with his assistants also refers to him. Photographer.
