ZISTL, Karl Georg. Hengersberg, Bavaria 1885 — Friedrichshafen 1953. German Librarian. Studied Indology (E. Kuhn) and Musicology at Munich, but in 1911 began as wissenschaftlicher Hilfsarbeiter in the Munich university library. Military service in WW I, seriously wounded. Returned to library in 1919. Catalogued Oriental and Slavic collections. Retired 1952. Married late a widow, no own children.
Publications: Bibliography of E. Kuhn (Fs. 1916, xii-xxv); in the 1940s and 1950s collected the Indological bibliography in Idg. Jb.
