HALLADE, Madeleine. Colombes 18.5.1891 — 30.9.1968. Mlle. French Art Historian. In 1919-20 studied at École de Beaux-Arts, worked herself as painter. In 1931-39 studies of art history at École du Louvre under Hackin and Stern. From 1933 Chargée de Mission in Musée Guimet, working on Afghanistan and Central Asian collections, also Chargé de Conferences at École du Louvre teaching Indian art. Retired 1965.
