JONG, Albert Johannes de. 1880 — 1961. Dutch Indologist. Student of Caland. Ph.D. 1917 Utrecht. Until Caland’s retirement in 1929/30 listened to his classes. One A. J. de Jong in my heritage was the son of elder A. J. De Jong (1851–1938) and Petronella Krassenberg, née Berentbroek (1853–1938).

Publications: Diss. Afgoderije der Oost-indische heydenen door Philippus Baldaeus. Nieuwe uitgave met aanteekeningen en inleiding. 85+236 p. the Hague 1917.
