KENNEDY, Melville Talbot. Council Bluffs, Pottawattamie County, Iowa 21.6.1882 — 2.9.1971. Rev. U.S. Missionary in India. Son of John Alexander K. and Mary Elizabeth McCurdy. Worked for Y.W.C.A. in Calcutta. Returned to Illinois around 1925 and worked as pastor in Champaign. Married 1909 Myra Bessie Fishback (1882–1981), their son was M.T.K. Jr., born in India 1918, Professor of Political Science at Bryn Mawr.
