SALET, Pierre. Paris 10.11. or 9.3.1875 — Paris 20.11.1936. French Astronomer interested in religions. Son of Georges Salet (1844–1894) and Louise Zélie Roger d’Hostel. From 1899 student of astronomy at Paris Observatory, aide-astronome 1906, astronome adjoint 1912, astronome titulaire 1927. Married 1906 Marie Thérèse Bazin (1881–1970), three sons.
