COLLET, Charles. 18?? — 1???. British Civil Servant in India. In Madras C.S. Sub-Collector in Malabar (1855), when his superior, H. V. Conolly, was murdered, and reported the events. Moved later to Madras and wrote the Reader there. In 1866 Ch. Collet of Madras C.S. was nominated a High Court Judge in Madras.
