SCHERMAN, Christine

SCHERMAN, Christine (née Reindl). Munich (?) 2.12.1865 — Hanson, Mass. 17.3.1940. German Anthropologist, specialist of Burma.  Daughter of Josef Reindl, an engine driver, and his wife Kunigunde. From 1889 wife of —> Lucian Sch., often participated in his work, especially as professional photographer. In 1910-11 they travelled together in Ceylon, Burma and India. She was already ill when they escaped Nazi regime to the U.S.A. in 1939 and died soon. They had one son and three daughters.
