CARPENTER, John N. 18?? — 19??. British Missionary in India. M.A. Went to India in 1890. Worked for Church Missionary Society in Allahabad (in 1900 as Principal of St.Paul’s Divinity School, again in A. in 1906/11) and Gorakhpur (1905), but seems also to have been connected with St.John’s College, Agra. D.D. One Rev. J. N. Carpenter Principal of Emmanuel College in Saskatoon, Canada in 1916-22.
