DRIBERG, John G. 17?? — before 1859. Rev. Missionary of the Society for the Propagation of the Gospel. Ordained Deacon 1835. In the early 1830s in Tallygunge as catechist, from 1835 in Barripûr near Calcutta, c. 1847-48 in Nurbudda District, then again in Barripur. Married (his widow Harriet Dr. died in 1859). Geni.com knows Rev. Charles Edward Driberg (1812–1871) of Calcutta, connected both with Tallygunge and Barripur, but he seems not to be a close relative.
