In 1889-90 teacher at a high school in New Brunswick, N.J., 1890-91 at Salt Lake City Academy, 1891-95 Instructor at New Hampshire State College. Then at Rutgers University in New Brunswick NJ: 1895-1901 Instructor in Romance languages, 1901-04 Associate Professor, 1904-39 Professor, 1939 emeritus. Married in 1892, 2 children. As his main interests phonology, prononciation of English, Sanskrit vowels, and syntax are mentioned.
