DAVIS, George Washington

DAVIS, George Washington. Pittsburgh 7.12.1902 — 29.3.1960. U.S. Theologian. Son of Benjamin Ivor Davis and his wife Katherine Kaiser Davis. Studies at Rochester Theological Seminary (B.D. 1928, Th.M. 1929). Ph.D. 1932 Yale, on missiology. From 1938 until death Professor of Theology at Crozer Theological Seminary in Upland, PA (where Martin Luther King Jr. was his student).
