KELLER, Otto Heinrich Wilhelm

KELLER, Otto Heinrich Wilhelm. Eberstadt 9.9.1879 — Büdingen 2.6.1947. German Student of IE Linguistics. Son of August Keller, a factory owner, and Johanna Möllinger. Studies at Freiburg and Giessen. Ph.D. 1904 Giessen (under Bartholomae, whom he also helped with the proofs of Altiranisches Wörterbuch). From 1908 Oberlehrer an der Realschule Oppenheim, 1917 Professor. From 1918 Director of Realschule Michelstadt, from 1925 Oberstudiendirektor of Wolfgang-Ernst-Gymnasium in Büdingen, in 1935 dismissed by Nazis. He entered politics (Deutsche Volkspartei) and was in 1924-31 member of Landtag of Hessen. Married with Ida Stich (1885–1947).
