MILWARD, Marguerite. Near Birmingham 1873 — 11.2.1953. British Artist. Educated at the art schools of Birmingham and Bromsgrove, further studies in Paris. Before WW I in Sri Lanka. “As a sculptress she travelled in search of typical heads among certain primitive tribes and backward classes” all over India in the 1930s, also in Burma, Indonesia and North-West Africa.
