KILIAN, Klaus

KILIAN, Klaus. 1939 — 28.5.1992. German Archaeologist, excavated in Sri Lanka. Director of the Kommission für Allgemeine und Vergleichende Archäologie (KAVA) des Deutschen Archäologischen Instituts (DAI) in Bonn. Since 1987 carried excavations in Sri Lanka in cooperation with S. Bandaranayake and the Unesco-Sri Lanka Project at the protohistoric site of Ibbankatuwa and at the monastic complex of Pidurangala near Sigiriya.
