TALAMO, Vincenzo

TALAMO, Vincenzo. Ardore, Reggio Calabria 7.3.1914 — 2006. Italian Physician interested in Buddhism. In 1925 family moved to Turin, then back in Reggio. Interested early in Buddhism, but studied medicine at Naples and Florence. In the war served in Liguria and Balkan as medical officer. At armistice joined Tito’s partisans, but was taken prisoner by Germans. Back in Italy worked in railway medical service in Turin, became friends of Frola and students of Indology there. Travelled in India, China, Thailand and Nepal.
