NICHOLSON, Alexander B.

NICHOLSON, Alexander B. 1845 — 19??. Rev. Presbyterian clergyman who renounced his ordination to take the post as Principal of Cedar Hill High School in 1876, but was soon forced to resign. In 1883 Lecturer on Modern Languages and Assistant Professor of Classics, then 1890/98 Assistant Professor of Latin and Greek and Lecturer on Comparative Philology and Sanskrit, in 1904/10 Professor of Comparative Philology and Sanskrit at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario.
