CÀRPANI, Enrico Gerardo. 1912 — 1963. Italian Scholar of Religion. In Bologna. Ph.D. In 1946-47 he was campaigning on behalf of the Roerich Pact. Still active in 1956, apparently still in Bologna. According to Franci his works are rather superficial and of introductory type. He was “indologo di limitata originalità, ma persona di vasta cultura”.
