JUKES, Andrew

JUKES, Andrew. Canada 1847 — 28.4.1931. British (Canadian) Missionary in India. Educated at Blundell’s School, then sent to the U.K. for higher education in medicine. From 1878 medival missionary of Church Missionary Society, until 1906 worked in Dera Ghazi Khan. He also compiled an English–Jatki dictionary, which remained unpublished and was lost.
